Valving & electronics
Valved systems retain factory style exhaust valves. Note: Milltek typically does not supply replacement valve motors — the OE valve motors are required for fitment (or reuse OEM units).

Improved exhaust flow vs stock → modest horsepower/torque gains depending on exact system and whether supporting mods (downpipes, remap) are fitted. Non-res / turbo-back + 100-cell cats or decats + ECU remap yield the largest gains. Some turbo-back options require Stage-2 ECU tune and lambda extension leads.
Acoustics / sound
Resonated valved cat-back: OE+ / deeper but refined tone.
Non-resonated / turbo-back (non-res): louder, aggressive RS-style bark — depends on 100-cell cats or cat-bypass selection.
Fitment / installation
Direct-fit cat-back for RS6 C7 / C7.5 in most kits; turbo-back options may require additional modifications (cutting of OEM piping in some C8 conversions, lambda extensions for some turbo-back builds).
